Trip to Nashville

Last week Ed and I had a blackbird trapped in our laundry room. Our guess is that it flew in when we had the back door open while we were working on the backyard. I came home from work and I heard this weird noise, it sound like it was in the wall in the kitchen. I was pretty sure it was a ghost so I waited for Ed to get home from work so we could investigate the noise together. Ed made me go get the bird, and I am never going to let him live it down. It was really scary. I put on a jacket and gloves to I didn't get scratched by the bird and came up with a plan to trap it in a bowl.

Last Friday Ed and I went with our friends from church Chuck and Cris to Nashville. Cris and I were entered in a biking/running/obstacle course race on Sunday called a Muddy Buddy. One person starts of Biking and the other running, you each do a small obstacle course and then switch, one runs and the other bikes. Overall each person runs three miles and each person bikes three miles. At the end the last obstacle is crawling through a mud pit, hence the name Muddy Buddy. Ed's friend Josh lives in Nashville so we visited him too. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
